For this project in GeoTech (a combined class consisting of both geography and technology), my peers and i were each assigned a different form of inequality to create and present a visual for. I was assigned to present on gender inequality, which was very exciting for me because one of my many passions is in fact, gender inequality. I had so much fun researching, coming up with designs, creating graphs, and making visuals, that I ended up going above and beyond (pertaining to requirements) adding as much as I possibly could.
For this project, we were asked to find an aspect of education that we felt needed to be fixed and make a presentation on said aspect, possibly proposing a solution to it as well. My partner and I decided on the topic of inequities in education and what we can do in order to promote equity in the educational field.
In algebra 1, I was requested to make a graph comparing something at drew to something somewhere else, so I decided to compare scholarship earnings at drew to those earned nationwide. As you can see, drew kids are very privileged pertaining to anything college related compared to the rest of the country.
This is a self portrait that I Painted using a cool color scheme (purple, blue, green). This was really the first time I painted something like this, and it was a struggle, but in the end i ended up getting better at painting so it was definitely worth the effort that I put into it.
This is an info graphic on Puerto Rico. In this i talk about the capital, form of currency used, population, their flag, their president, popular foods in the country, and famous people from there.
my favorite part of photography 1 was definitely learning how to take portrait, fashion, and head shots. I enjoyed this because i had the chance to portray emotion just through something as small as a photograph.
