2-13-2020 This year in Chemistry, I have been learning about significant figures, molar mass, percent composition, and moles. I really like all of these topic because they are easy and somewhat fun. All of these topics that I have mentioned have to deal with math. Significant figures deal with rounding, molar mass, percent composition, and moles all have to deal with basic multiplication and division. We can also tie Molar Mass into Algebra I and II. We can tie this into Algebra I and II because it deals with dimensional analysis. (conversions)
2-26-2020 This year in Health, we have been creating an app. I would say the best thing about our app is the sleep, meditation and nutrition aspects of the app. In AP Human Geography last year, we started to create an app. So this would relate to it. To reiterate, Our creation of the app in AP, could connect to what we were doing in Health.
2-28-2020 This year in English, we will be publishing our books and selling them to people. We also had to make movie trailers for our books to advertise them. In Health, we are creating an app and we must advertise the app to other people. We are presenting our projects and trying to sell them both.
Feedback: No Feedback was given to us
3-5-2020 There are many ways that we could share our projects to the public. Some ways can present our projects is at events that Drew has. One of the events could be Space is the New Place. Another could be during extended learning. This could be good because there will be a lot of people in these areas, who may be interested in our app.
3/3/2020 There are many STEAM connections I've made to my app. Such as to art, us creating the mock up. With science, because of our nutrition plans we have. The app also relates to technology with coding. In conclusion, STEAM has many connections to our app.
ChemVAS - 5/5/2020
The E-Learning journey over the last couple of months has been tough. A lot of the work is simple to do and is the standard amount of work we would be given on a regular school day. The only problem is that you have to be on-task throughout the day and have good time management. Although, this is hard to do while we're at home because we are presented with distractions that we wouldn't normally have in the school day. Although some of it is making me really stressed. For example, the workload that we are being given for Ms. Mayes' Literature class is a little excessive. Furthermore, this could be improved but overall I am making it through. In Chemistry, we have been learning about gas laws. I could make a connection to what I have learned in Algebra II this year. With doing the different gas laws problems, I can connect this to two-step equations which we learned Algebra I and reviewed in Algebra II.
