In my 9th grade year, I attended Mays High school and in Algebra 1 we worked on an individual project. It was called " The Game of Life ", which is a game on how we would budget our lives. Coming towards bills, car notes, how to budget on food, extra things that we would want to do in life. In terms of what we wanted and had to pay for we would have to calculate everything and that would be how much we would spend.
For this course, we had to do individual projects on our own and have certain topics done on certain dates that were given. My old teacher assigned me and my classmates different topics to work on. I had to grow bacteria using materials that was listed in a link that was sent to me personally. The bacteria samples I chose from were picking a swab of saliva from the mouth, from a school carpet floor, a small puddle beside the sewage, and last but not least in area of a brown banana. Overall the hard work, I remained successful.
For the course of Social Studies, we individually had to create our own Tribe along with the environment. My tribe name was called " Maki Maki ", they were an Indian tribe who settles in the most fortunate environment any other tribe could ask for. This land had fresh green trees with red apples for harvesting, soil so rich and full of moisture for growing all sorts of crops, a lake of fresh water and filled of fish, and some left over land to build shelters.
For my pathway assignment, I took Visual Arts Comp. I and remained the top most creative because I really took the time to work. The class in general had to paint a forest full of green but different values.
During parts of my 9th grade year, I took a class learning Spanish. Although before the class I used an app called Duolingo for a fresh start of learning Spanish. Joining the class, in general it seemed really advanced but soon I was able to adjust and follow through.
The last pathway assignment I've taken in my 9th grade was dance and cheer. I enjoyed my time in dance and cheer just mainly learning new cheers and as well as dances. For cheer we would go to games and cheer all day long and having the best experience cheering together.
