The picture on the left is my 1st year in cross country when I was running in 8th grade, and the picture on the right is my 2023 meet. Before in my 1st year I was running ~30, then in 2023 I was running sub 22(2nd picture on the right). In 2025 I've PR'd and gotten sub 21, earning a runner-up trophy at regional. Unfortunately my entire team didn't show up to qualify to win regional.

2024 Cross Country Regional Runner-Up (11th grade)
This picture means so much to me, because I started out as this little kid who didn't even want to do the sport to the team captian who led the team so regional runner ups without majority of the team being there. I felt the responsibility on my back so I made sure I gave it EVERYTHING I had to give everyone else hope. It was a rough time then as well it was cold and everyone was sick, so I knew with the few people we had I made sure to give everyone something to fight for these next upcoming years. I/m so proud and excited of this next generation and group of cross country runners as well they have a lot of potential and are amazing at heart, and I'm estatic to see where their roads take them.
The picture I have above is my triple jump on the left, but I ran 4x4, 400, and I did triple jump, long jump, and high jump. My triple jump is 34.6, my long jump is 20.29, and I jump 5,7 in high jump. I stopped for a while due to a back injury at a meet. (2024 Track Season)
At the regionals for long jump I made 3 PRs at this one meet. (2025 Track Season)
This track season has been a blessing. At one meet, I beat three personal records, including jumping from 37 to 41 in triple jump, which really shows the dedication and passion I have for the sport. I’m also getting close to hitting 22 in long jump, which is a big goal for me.
Right now, the biggest thing I’m still working on is my mindset. I haven’t fully locked in on the idea that my form matters more than the mark itself. Once I learn to trust my mark and focus on executing my form during the jump, I know I’ll be in a position to place in the top three.
Overall, I can see the progress, and I know I’m close. It’s just about putting everything together mentally and physically.
