I worked on a plan called the Safe Streets Initiative to make Mechanicsville safer and more welcoming. I focused on fixing unsafe streets, adding trees and lights, and improving sidewalks and crosswalks with help from the city and community.

2. What were the issues and how were they addressed:
The main problems were unsafe roads, poor lighting, and not enough green space. Some people also faced poverty and risk of being pushed out. These issues were addressed by adding safety features, improving sidewalks, and making sure the plan helped everyone fairly.

3. What did I learn about urban planning, geometry, and solving community issues:
I learned that urban planning is about making cities safer and more equal. Geometry helps design streets and sidewalks that work better. I also learned that solving community problems takes teamwork, planning, and listening to people’s needs.
