Use this sticker as you seek understanding of the assignment or problem. Typically this will come from the community, your instructor, or your own observation. You must completely understand the objectives of the project to be successful, so this step is crucial. Develop active listening skills! Entry events for a project are usually a great place to start!
Use this sticker as you examine a problem from all angles. Ask questions, observe people, situations, and artifacts. Develop empathy for the problem that people facing the situation are experiencing. Find out what you know and what you need to know. Explore all of it!
Use this sticker as you are discussing and exploring ideas for how to solve a problem. Record these ideas quickly. Ideas may come in the form of graphic organizers, notes, drawings, outlines, or video blogs. Remember to seek feedback before progressing to the next step (then use the Evaluation/Modification sticker).
Use this sticker as you share your more formal ideas--3-d prototypes, mock-ups, drafts, skits, simulations, and storyboards. Remember to seek feedback before progressing to the next step (then use the Evaluation/Modification sticker).
Use this sticker when you are evaluating your decisions at each step in the process. When you note a user’s feedback also note what you intend to do about it going forward.
Use this sticker to explain how you are trying your prototype with real users. Try it out and note the way it performs and is understood by a real audience. Explain methodology and note observations.
Jan 13th. 2025 Food for thought
Today my group members and I recorded our Food for thought video and finished our recipe card.
Jan 9th. 2025
During this class period, we continued weaving but with yarn instead. We were allowed to choose our own color and size board.

My partner and I created a model of covalent bonds. Covalent bonds share an electron/strand. In our model, we showcase how one strand connects both of our sides of the model. We incorporated weaving by cutting strands of paper and moving them under and over continuously. This now connects to bonding from our weaving.
La importancia de la Ciudadanía Global
¡Hola y Bienvenido! Mi nombre es Patricia y yo tomo Español cuatro que es un nivel para los estudiantes que estas en el duodecimo grado. Mi pagina web enfocar en como puedes un ciudadano global.
In this lab, we built a paper airplane and tested how far it could fly. We then experimented by adding mass using paper clips. We measuresdd the distance of each flight and observed how the distance of each flight and observed how the added weight imapcted the performance and distance. Our independent variable was the amount of mass added, and our dependent variable was the flight distance.
In our bubble lab, we tested different soaps to determine which one created the biggest bubbles. We measured the diameter once it popped and made inferences about the soaps effectiveness based on the results.
For my element project, I illustrated the country of colombia, where platinum was first discovered, and added images of jewelry to represent the elements common use in the high end accessories.
For my Bohr model project, I selected an element and recreated its atomic structure on a paper plate using beads for the electrons and protons. The hands-on activity helped visualize the elements atomic model.
For this project, I wrote a diary entry imagining that I had discovered the element moscovium. In the entry, I detailed the discovery process, the challenges I faced, and the significance of this new element.
Claim: Cultural and historical contexts played a big role in shaping the development of the periodic table.
Evidence: Scientists like Dmitri Mendeleev created the periodic table during the 19th century when scientific knowledge was still growing. Mendeleev’s table was based on atomic mass, and his predictions about undiscovered elements were influenced by what was known at the time. Also, elements were often named after the places or people that discovered them, like francium (named after France) and gallium (named after Latin for France, Gallia). The industrial revolution and global trade also pushed for the discovery of new elements to support growing technology.
Reasoning: The historical events and cultural influences helped guide where and how scientists discovered elements. Mendeleev’s table was shaped by the knowledge available in the 1800s, and the names of elements show how countries and cultures contributed to science. So, the periodic table we have today reflects not just science, but also the time and place in which it was developed.
1a. I combined STEAM subjects in this project by integrating science concepts with technology tools, engineering principles, artistic creativity, and mathematical precision to create a cohesive and innovative final product.
1b. I learned how different disciplines can complement each other to solve complex problems and enhance the overall quality of the project.
1c. I was creative by experimenting with various materials and techniques, thinking outside the box, and incorporating unique elements that added originality to my work.
2a. My artwork features vibrant colors and dynamic shapes, with a balanced composition that draws the viewer's eye across the piece. The use of lines, textures, and space creates depth and interest.
2b. The most important Principles of Design in my work are balance, contrast, and emphasis. I used these principles to ensure that the artwork is visually appealing and engaging.
2e. I applied balance by distributing visual weight evenly, used contrast to highlight key areas, and created emphasis through focal points that draw attention. If it doesn't look good, it might be due to a lack of harmony or unity in the design.

We finished recording!!!!! Today we recorded our last two scenes and it was really funny and we had a good time. I really loved working with this group i think we all enjoyed our project over the couple of weeks although i cant speak for anyone else other than me! Its really fun realizing that you can create friendships with people you never talked to and bonding with others during a school project!!

Today we recorded scene 2 and my group did pretty well, i finished editing together scene 1 and today i will edit scene 2. we all enjoyed it and had fun outside
The mandala originated from India. It is popular throughout the religions Hinduism and Buddhism. A main purpose for the mandala is to focus on mind, meditation, spiritual healing. I think they show up around different civilizations because since Mandalas gained popularity, it was seen as a healing process and most people can incorporate this into their everyday lives. I believe this because it is said to cure suffering and change it to joy. The mandala contains many principles of design. for example i can see repetition and rhythm.
ELA 9/20/24
Today we worked in stations to complete last steps and ideas. I worked on station 4 which included costume needs and props.
ELA 9/11/24
I worked on scene directions, frames, and the setting.
ELA 9/9/24
Today we worked on the second portion of our script making, I think we worked well but maybe couldv'e spent less time on thinking of names. Im excited for the next 180hrs of working on the script with my group.
9/6/24
Today we wrote out our script and wrote what characters we were playing. I wrote notes today also for ideas and opinions I had with writing and along with the filming. My group was efficient today and I think we are going to have a really good film.
9/4/24
Today we took notes on different character types. We then created a Plot Diagram laying out how our story is going to go for our project. As a group, we then made sure to discuss who our protagonist and antagonist would be and finished assigning roles and researching. Hopefully next class we will come back with more information and be done quickly so our project can be presented professionally and not rushed .

Today we created a chart of classical rome. I was assigned to write the geography portion which described how location, physical features, and climate affected the civilization. I enjoyed this because It helped me "study" more for AP World histor, and also this was fun to write and research. Id want to do something like this again and I wouldnt mind working solo. I learned a lot and i'm glad I did this becasue now im walking out with more informaton on classical Rome.

With this assignment, we covered the color theory. With looking through the slides, I mainly learned most about the illusions colors give off when the background has a specific color to alter the shade. Its really trippy but i really liked learning about this because this isn't something I've never really thought about, but now i really want to learn more about how these illusions were made and how they were discovered.
8/6/2024
In this activity, we learned about composition. We "experimented" with shapes by looking through slide shows and understanding how different lines make different illusions on our own. For example, diagonal lines create the illusion of movement. The line attracts your eye in the sense of the direction it is going in. We also went over the rule of thirds. The rule of thirds creates a different focal point in the image, it helps the photo become less boring and gives you something to wonder about.

1 Paragraph: This way of making art is like a scientific experiment because you can mess around to find different outcomes. The same thing applies to scientific experiments, if you add more of a substance it will give you a different result. Art if you keep adding to it, it's going to make it different than how you started it. Different art can eventually grow into a new result which, is the same with science experiments. Science experiments start as what you put in it to begin with, over time you may want to add more substances to it to create something different or new you've never seen. This is why I say making art is just like a science experiment. You can both get different outcomes.

What does art mean to me? I believe art is a creation or an idea that has a special beautiful look to it and also has meaning to the person. I think art to a person is a way to express your feelings and emotions without verbally saying anything. For example, you can create a masterpiece as a way to tell someone what's going on inside of you. It can also be a way for professionals to understand what young children aren't saying aloud. Art can be kept to one person, or be shown off to the public. Art comes in many forms, such as paintings, digital art, photography, and much more. Other subjects can be art like geometry, geometry works with lines and shapes therefore there is a possibility that you can turn your general homework into art. I also believe history can be seen as art, the images and ancient artifacts can be viewed as art.
