About Your Drew Experience

Charles R. Drew Charter School is a public charter school located in Atlanta that is dedicated to helping students achieve academic success, develop leadership skills, prepare for college and future careers, and become positive members of their community through a supportive and challenging learning environment. Drew is different from many other schools because it focuses not only on academics, but also on building strong relationships between students, teachers, and families while offering unique opportunities such as advanced classes, extracurricular activities, college preparation programs, and a diverse environment where students are encouraged to express themselves, work hard, and grow into successful individuals. I chose to attend Drew because I wanted to be in a school community that would motivate me to reach my goals, support me through challenges, and provide opportunities that could help me prepare for my future career and life after high school. My experience at Drew has helped me become more responsible, independent, focused, and confident in myself by teaching me the importance of hard work, perseverance, leadership, and staying dedicated to my goals even when things become difficult and meeting people i can hang around and that i can trust and that will be there to support me in all type ways i need them to be there for me .
