In geometry I applied transformations by designing a video game with 3 levels. After designing my video game, I turned the video game into an animation. The goal of my game was the goal of my game is to get the box of gold chain to itself . In order to complete my game, translations, rotations, reflections, and dilations had to be used. It was important throughout the process that we remembered the differences for each transformation. An translations is when you add or subtract to go and change the transformation . Reflections is when you changes the flip across. Dilation is when you change the size.
In Geometry I learned about the properties of parallelograms and used the properties to design a piece of stained glass. The inspiration for my stained glass was at first just add a whole bunch of shapes and make it into art. Once we so what did that we painted the picture with it and fill some of the shapes with design and so far then. . The shapes I included in my design were Squares, rectangles, triangles, parallelograms, and a rhombus. I made sure that my parallelograms abided by the properties of parallelograms which are opposite sides are parallel, opposites sides are congruent, opposites angles are congruent congestive angle are supplementary, diagonal bisect each other.
Day 6- Sector area and Arc Length Activity
This activity we were finding the sector area and the arc length of a cookie. With the materials a cookie, ruler, protractor, and a string. My findings was that the my 4 arc lengths did not add up to the circumference of my circle is because I measured the circumference wrong. However my 4 sectors area did add up to the area of my circle because it is all equal parts that look equal of the area.
