In the Eastern religions of Hinduism, Buddhism, a Mandala is used as a map representing deities, or especially in the case of Shinto, paradises, kami or actual shrines.
Used to represent higher thinking.
During the process of making this mandala, I made the outer design for our mandala. I used many light colors and simple designs that would stand out and make our mandala easier to look at. It took some time, but I'm satisfied witht he work and I hope people enjoy our art.
I understand how people used abstraction in modernist art. I often see abstraction when I doodle on paper when I'm bored. There is no reason I just do it to cope and it's considered art anyways.
Abstraction art can be related to math and science can relate to diagraming and showing shapes. They are often used to make maps and is constantly seen on the coordinate plane. We also see this in crystals for science.
I say I can work in a personally more expressive way because I prefer to be creative and express i than try to be analytical. I'd prefer to let the the emotion and any fun ideas run wild on the paper and admire it later.
These two drawings were made using charcoal and colored pencils. This was a temporary project where we we had to watch a video and practice drawing using charcoal markers amd other stencils for colors.
