AP Language

In my AP Language class , we often discuss current events . We were assigned to choose one that resignated with us to further dive into and expound our mind on the topic with research . I decided to choose about African Americans misrepresentation in the media and how that leads to racial bias and police brutality .

This has been an ongoing issue for a very long time since the beginning of the television . It is inflamed by the stereotypes in televion and the shortage of sucessful black roles in the media . I decided to take on this problem because of it's relevance which is evidently shown with most cases of police brutality where the black victim is unarmer but in some way they look like a "thug " .

The solution to this issue is to have more positive roles written for black people more than likely by black people . We also need to do away with these misleading sterotypes that brainwashes people's minds all over the world composing a false narrative .
