Project Proposal

Before the project could officially begin, I had to develop a project proposal. The purpose of a project proposal is to make an organized plan of how we will complete our project in an effective way.

My Discovery Question for this project is how did Rockefeller and Carnegie rivalry developed for the greater good of america, and destroyed the barriers of construction during the gilded time period. This question will require me to investigate how Rockefeller and Carnegie became monopolies and trust to begin with in standard SSUSH11 Examine connections between the rise of big business, the growth of labor unions, and technological innovations.

In this project I propose to create a podcast. I chose this because I want to be as creative as possible in a way that people can learn and understand more on standard 11b. Examine the significance of John D. Rockefeller and Andrew Carnegie in the rise of trusts and monopolies. This will allow us to showcase our skills in a fun and entertaining way, while learning new material, and teaching new material, which is one of my favorite things to do. I now have new skills that may come in handy later on in life.

Breaking Barriers!

As a final exam, U.S History is creating a project that looks at the way that barriers were broken during the guilded era. We chose our own standard and made our own creative project that shows our understanding of the standard.
