My project went kinda well I guess. The only thing that didn’t go well was making the slides because we had so many ideas and had to keep erasing everything. The difficult part was that we struggled to figure out what ideas we thought were good. Another thing that was difficult was the fights that our character had to go through just to help the people. I can say it wasn’t that bad because my partners were collaborative and focused. It’s just we also had other work and it was getting stressful. I Think we could’ve improved the details because we had details but they weren’t detailed enough to explain why the characters were doing what they were doing or why it was happening. I learned an easy way to make an animation and how much time it takes. I also would improve the animation if it had to be more than just making slides or copying and pasting slides. This project was a success to me because as a student not everybody is talented and we're all still learning so yea. I was also kinda surprised when I figured out I could make an animation on google slides. It was fun to make though. If i were the teacher i would probably not change anything.. I don’t know.
Artist Statement
I made a placemat for my project. It relates to chemistry because of the yarn, it has a covalent bond in it because of the dye and it benefits the environment because people use placemat around the world for their homes. The principles of Design I’m using for my recycled textile is research from the Edpuzzles. idea development, we sketched out what we were gonna draw. I made it with two or three different color of yarn and a cardboard and weaved it together. The difficultness was weaving it because it was so big and I kept messing up, it was really frustrating and I dislike how the other yarn i had it wasn’t enough so yea… and also how its not nearly finished :/. Another thing is how all the yarn was tied together and I had to sit there and untie it just so I could use the yarn. I don’t know how it could be improved but if i could do something different then i would just make something different ://. I learned that artist makes mistakes..i guess idk :/.
The molecule I choose was oxygen. My principle of design that I used was making the product with patterns & balanced. The patterns show by the repeating colors and shapes and letters. I incorporated my tinker cad model by looking off of some molecule design inspirational in Dr. Kurt's class to help with ideas. I did oxygen because its around the world in the air and helpful to the human body.
What would you fight for? I would fight for women’s rights because I, as a woman, feel that we shouldn't be discriminated against other genders. Women were and still are so treated differently and badly. White women are treated fairly but what about us, young girls, infants, kids, black women? 3 facts about:
Guernica was a commissioned artwork
Picasso was moved by an article in The Times
Women are the main characters in Guernica
