9th Grade
English Assignment #1- I had to write an essay on the book "Purple Hibiscus" . We had to write about the main character's emotional growth throughout the book. I really enjoyed that book and the assignment and I would love to reread the book.
English Assignment #2- I had to write a short story . I didn't matter what is was about, I just had to write. I loved the freedom I was given with that assignment. I would love to redo the story I wrote, because I wrote a garbage story.
English Assignment #3- This next assignment was one of my favorites. I had to cast my own version of "Romeo and Juliet". I don't remember much about the cast, but I remember Zendaya was Juliet.
English Assignment #4- We had to debate the resolution of "Romeo and Juliet" I thought that the whole play was idiotic, and personally I believe that had they communicated their plan to each other first they wouldn't have died.
Math Assignment #1- Algebra was the worst class of my 9th grade career. We did one project in May, and even then I didn't have to do it because I got a good grade on the MAP test.
Math Assignment #2- One time I had to work on a poster about a topic I didn't understand by myself. My partner didn't show up until the end of class.
Math Assignment #3- I worked on another poster, but this time I had a partner. I'll give my teacher credit, it was an enjoyable assignment.
Math Assignment #4- I started on a math booklet, but luckily I was exempt from completing it. I got a good grade on the MAP test, so I can't really say anymore about this project or this class.
Science Assignment #1- My first big project was to pick a lab I'd done, and make a poster on it. My partner and I worked really hard, and I enjoyed the easiness of the project.
Science Assignment #2- One time we did lab on microwave rays and marshmellows. It was just a reason to eat marshmellows. I had a great time that day, and I can taste the project writing about it.
Science Assignment #3- In March I had to make an work of art to honor a minority scientist. I am not a great drawer at all. I pretty sure my drawing would probably insult more than honor.
Science Assignment #4- I had to make a house with my group mates. It had to be fully wired. I was really cool and I was the only one in my group to not get injured at some point, and that is the real achievement out of the whole assignment.
Social Studies Assignment #1- For my social studies class I took AP Human Geography combined with Computer Science. I had to make a website. It doesn't technically exists because I can't publish it.
Social Studies Assignment #2- I had to create a pamphlet about double cropping. It was meant to help others study
Social Studies Assignment #3- One of the more boring parts of the class was guided notes. it was the only way I would actually read the textbook.
Social Studies Assignment #4- I had to create a graph for a project of a education issue. I made mine on the lack of education for girls.
Pathway Assignment #1- For chorus I got to perform with GSU chorus at their annual concert. It was a holiday concert and the Drew Highschool chorus was treated super poorly.
Pathway Assignment #2- In May the chorus had our Spring Concert. The theme was Broadway, and I sang and "Into the Woods" mix.
Pathway Assignment #3- In engineering I had to work with a group to make a cornhole board. I loved the building process. Pardon the largeness of this picture. I can't figure out how to shrink it.
