I used sketch.o to create my masterpiece. I used clipart from things that you use in chemistry and art such as pbeaker,pencils,scissors,and different colors.I used art and colors to create it.

"It's all Elemental"
This project is about elements. My element was sodium. I looked up where sodium was from, it was from the sea, so I made a sea with sodium particles in it. It was difficult trying to work the app but I figured it out. I think the whole project itself went well. If I were to do it again, I would try to be more creative next time.

"My Favorite Things Project"
I started making my favorite things by brainstorming ideas of what I like. I picked out my favorite colors that I was going to use. Then I picked out stuff I liked. Like bunnies, money, flowers, food, and cheer. Then I started making it. I made my base a heart. I love hearts but the heart kept breaking apart but I eventually got it to stay after like 3 tries. Then I made all my favorite things and put them in the heart showing the things I love. Then I fired it and it underwent a chemical change. Then I glazed it when it was hard with my favorite colors. Then I was done. I wish I would have got some of the little dots out cause you can see them. But in conclusion, I loved doing this project. I hope you like my artwork.

In this deeply rooted project, we made symbols that resonated with us. We made crystal symbols with borax, pipe cleaners, and hot water. We also made paper out of symbols we made the pulp and let the paper dry. I would improve the paper-making process because it was kind of messy. Overall I enjoyed this project.

For my final in geometry, I made a stained glass. We used stained glass for our deeply rooted showcase and parallelogram to make the stained glass. The 3 elements of art I used were space, line, and shape. The principles of design I used were pattern, unity, and movement. I connected it with proofs because I had to measure the parallelograms to get the right measurements.

Ancient Civilization
We have been learning about ancient civilizations. The project was about making stuff they used to live in. I dug the the mud and tied the tents. I observed that making the hut is harder than it seems. I learned that you have to mush the mud well. This relates to my other classes because we are making pottery in art class and reading about ancient civilizations.
Columbian exchange
What is the Columbian Exchange? The Columbian Exchange is the process by which plants, animals, diseases, people, and ideas have been introduced from Europe, Asia, and Africa to the Americas and vice versa.
What defining events caused the onset of exchange? European exploration, conquest, and settlement of the Americans.
Explain three items that were transferred/exposed to the other hemisphere. One was diseases and it was exposed by Europeans brought deadly viruses and bacteria, such as smallpox, measles, typhus, and cholera, and plants and animals were also transferred.
Name one meal that you love that includes ingredients from the two different hemispheres. Grapes and turkey.
Explain what you did in the PBL project to help your group. I stirred the noodles bought the grapes and plated the food.

Outside of Drew, I’m involved in my community through my debutante program and serve as the president of my Jack and Jill chapter. These roles help me build leadership skills and connect with others. I enjoy bringing people together, whether it’s for service projects or fun events, and learning more about myself along the way.
