My group and I made a presentation for a possible trip plan to Argentina. I worked on the section about the food options. It was completely in Spanish, which made me use the vocabulary I learned to form sentences about food I had just learned about. I also had to go from memory because we weren't allowed to read from the slides, which was challenging.

For our final project in the first semester, I had to create two recipe cards in Spanish about two foods from a randomly assigned country. I was given Peru, so I decided to do oven-baked plantains and pollo a la brasa. This project made me use my skills to translate English recipes into Spanish, while also simplifying them to fit onto the cards.

For our final project of the second semester, I had to write and create my own short story for kids in spanish. While doing this project, I had to heavily use both forms of past tense in spanish, imperfecot and preterito. Druing the writing of the story, I had to challenge myself to find ways of expresing thoughts and ideas in spanish that is didn't know the vocabulary for. Overal, learning how to write a story in spanish was challenging, but useful.
