Hello, My name is Jaleah Rucker, and I describe myself as a helpful and respectful person. I believe in supporting others, and always showing kindness whether I’m in the classroom, on the cheer mat or just hanging out with friends. I was born in Atlanta, Georgia and I’ve been part of the Drew Charter School since I was in the Early Learning Center (day care). Now, I’m a 10th grade student, continuing my journey at Drew till 12th grade. One of my biggest passions is cheerleading. I’m both a Varsity cheerleader and a competition cheerleader. I've also started playing flage football this year. I’ve been cheering since I was just five years old. Cheer and dance are my favorite things to do. I’m excited about what’s ahead and proud of the journey I’m on. With cheer in my heart and big goals in my mind. 

I want to finish high school with good grades, good behavior, and be part of activities that show I worked hard and tried my best. I want to look back and feel proud of what I did. At first, I wanted to be a nurse but then I realized I also want to be a teacher too. So I'll be a teacher first & while I’m teaching, I’ll work on getting my nursing degree. After I’ve spent time teaching, I’ll switch to nursing so I can help people in a different way. To reach these goals, I plan to work hard, stay focused, and apply to lots of colleges so I can find the best one for me. I know it won’t be easy, but I’m ready to put in the effort. Yes, like I said, I do plan to go to college. It’s a big step that will help me become both a teacher and a nurse, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.
