Trip to the Hispanic World
My favorite activity from this unit was the Trip to the Hispanic World project. This assignment was about planning a group vacation to a Hispanic country as well as budgeting for every expense that comes with that. We outlined food, a place to stay, travel costs, and activities, and split the options for these into three different vacations at different price points. This was my favorite assignment from this unit because this above any else made me feel the most confident with the language when both studying and presenting.

Proyecto Final - Libro de Recetas
My favorite activity from Unit 2 was the final project, El Libro de Recetas. In this project, we were assigned a Hispanic country and had to come up with two dishes from our country to find and translate a recipe for. My country was Colombia and my first choice was pollo guisado, or stewed chicken. I also chose arroz con leche, or rice pudding. I used simplified recipes for each. The main struggle I had with these recipes was conjugating the -ar, -er, and -ir verbs to fit the tense. I used english-spanish word reference and my notes to complete this task.
