In class we studied states and we used the acronym SPEED to learn about issues in the states, SPEED represents social, cultural, Economics, Environmental, and Demographics. By using the lens of Speed we were able to gain more insight on the states. We used Hummingbird robotics to animate elements related to SPEED.
The state that I was assigned was Florida. We wanted to learn about some of the struggles and pros that Florida. The animations were to bring more attention. It has bacteria that is in the water in Florida. We included the bacteria issue that is in Florida. We had to code all of the animations. The wires had to be plugged into the motherboard. We had to find visual representation of the SPEED diagram.
I believe it does because we used LED light and a servo to make our project cooler. The state was small so you could not see the pictures clearly in video. Make the state 3D. Have our states bigger. It would have more rotating pictures and more colors and physical features. I liked it because the coding was easier than I thought it would be. We did well but it could have looked better. We kept messing up and joking but we eventually got it finished.
