This project was very good for me. I was able to experience different things such as making mud bricks and a bamboo structure. This helped me be put into the mindset of how it was in the ancient civilizations. The ancient civilizations were Egypt, Mesopotamia, India and China. Each of these civilizations had different ways of creating structures but I was able to experience 2 of the ways that they were able to build structures. I had lots of fun and it was very informful.
The Epic elements unit is a PBL unit that surrounds the question of where do social injustices come from. This project will be set in an ancient civilization. It will be a stop motion video that will be created in Art. You will also need to include elements from the periodic table for chemistry. The stop motion video will include all this including At Least one like in spanish. If you have Miss. Stokes for math then you have to include transformations in your stop motion video as well.
This was my weaving project.
My molecule was carbon dioxide and my idea was creating a dinner table with a toppled over soda can because carbonation uses carbon dioxide. I used the principle of proportion by making proportions of the can and dinner. I incorporated tinker CAD by doing my whole molecule model on tinker CAD. Interior design is a career that could use tinker CAD.
The Columbian exchange was the exchange of people, products, animals, religion, ideas etc. In this project you were put into a group of people and assigned either the old world of the new world. We then had to cook something only using materials from our side. This related to the Columbian exchange because it represented before they started to trade and how it was on each of the sides. This project helped me understand the Columbian exchange because it helped me understand the things we have today and how important the Columbian exchange is.
On our Guernica painting, we have three different artworks in one. The idea we were trying to give off with our painting is chaos but with a sense of clarity and the cubist style helps express this idea more. The cubist and Guernica style bring that sense of uncertainness and messiness within our painting. 5 On the right, we have a hospital that represents what would be commonly used if a BioWare were to take place.
We also have a hand with a glove and 2 chemical solutions with smoke and gas bubbles coming out. These represent how scientists create dangerous chemicals that shouldn't be exposed to the public. We also have a government building and this is to represent how the government also plays a hand when it comes to the distribution and the creation of these harmful chemicals.
