We have to write an essay on the book Purple Hibiscus, in Lit.
We did an re in act on the book, Sundiata. We had to re in act the book in our own way.
In LIT. we did a couple of things from Romeo and Juliet. We watched different versions of the movie. We did many assignments on the play. Then later on we ended up watching a play at Shakespeare Tavern.
We got into groups to where we had to create a story and make a survey on our trailer for the story. People then had to vote on if they liked the trailer or not. We also made a poster linking to the story we create. The story was called "Mia Collins".
I don't have a good picture,but in Algebra we do lots of assignments. For one of them we had to go over the assignment, then when we're done we get into groups and work on all types of problems relating to the assignment for that day.
A project we did in Algebra was a booklet of what we went over throughout the school year. We have strengths and weakness and we have to show an example or two.
We sit in different groups to go over what we learned the previous class, take test/quiz, and more.
In Physics we had to do a lab for how high different balls bounced and we did a worksheet copying down our data .
For the cart lab, we had to see how fast the carts went down the trail and we recorded our data on a packet.
A main project we did in physics was a honorable piece of something a famous person did. I did George Washington Carver and I had to write some facts about him. Then me and my partner did a 3D print of a peanut, his name, and a head statue of him.
In Physics, for our last project, we did a house project that has to include different things that require circuits. We have to make different circuits like, parallel, series, and more. It will include a battery, lights , and it's way of how it worked.
PING PROJECT-On this project we had to have a country and we basically made a replica of that country's map.
In our weebly, we had to make different pages for all of our classes.Then we picked 2 assignments and wrote about them.
2nd semester one main thing we did in this class was the posters of different topics. I had the topic of gender inequality and I made a poster of rates from men's salary to women's salary.
Another main project we did was an app/ app commercial where we had to create a app and include how much it would cost, the design, and more. We also had to create a commercial for the app.
It's not a lot that we do in Study Skills. What we do is we have the opportunity to make up missing assignments, complete assignments to turn in, and we can work on projects.
This semester we worked on prototypes for a homeless shelter. At the end we started to all work on one big homeless shelter. Each group had to build one piece of the shelter.We also built a set for the play LUNCHROOM and it took a while, because we had to build a revolving stage and that took a while. We also had to build different things tables, chairs, and much more. Also We had to create a set of two choices, The Grinch or the Nut Cracker. I chose the Grinch because since I've seen the movie I had some type of idea of what I wanted the set to look like. I painted my shoe box black and started on what i visioned in my head.
