Hello, my name is Ariana Williams, and I was born in Atlanta, Georgia. I am currently a Freshman at Charles R. Drew Charter School and have been attending Drew since Pre-K. Before Drew, I attended Green Forest Academy. My childhood consisted of lots of fun and love. I would describe myself as a very quiet, kind, and loving person. I've always wanted to be some type of doctor or just work in medicine in general, but most recently, I've been looking into anesthesiology. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering at Drew's after-school program, cheering, and helping wherever I can. Once I finish high school, I plan to go to college and begin my journey to becoming an anesthesiologist.

Ever since I was younger, I’ve known that my true calling is taking care of kids because they deserve to feel safe, healthy, and supported. Children are naturally so resilient and hopeful, but when they’re sick, it takes away their chance to just be kids and enjoy life. That is why becoming a pediatrician means the absolute world to me; I want to be the person who helps heal them and brings a smile back to their face on their hardest days. Howard University is my absolute dream school to make this goal a reality because of its incredible legacy of producing compassionate, top-tier Black doctors. Being in an environment that celebrates culture while pushing for medical excellence will give me the tools and confidence I need to thrive. Howard doesn't just teach medicine; it teaches you how to advocate for underserved communities, which is exactly the kind of doctor I want to be. There is nothing more rewarding to me than knowing I could help a child grow up healthy and fulfill their own big dreams. By studying pre-med at Howard, I know I’ll be setting the strongest foundation possible to dedicate my life to protecting the next generation.
