My story makes me epic
How did I get here? I got here from my parents, my mom is from Germany, and my dad was from North Carolina. Why are you here? I am here because of Delta airlines. Where am I going? I am "going to infinity and beyond" .
This is our collage(Collin's, Brody's and I's), we compare a prisoner and Odysseus on Calypso's island. When a prisoner is in jail or prison or whatever they feel very lonely, having no family. The only thing that they have to remember them is the occasional phone all, photos or just thoughts of them. Many prisoners, even grown men cry from missing their loved ones, knowing that now that they are there they can only wait out their sentence. Odysseus getting washed up on calypso's island and being forced to sleep with her and stay on the island missed his wife so much. The book describes him "crying out rivers of tears". He stayed for two whole years. These two examples relate from the agonizing loneliness they both experience.
A STEAM-y Mini-Project
For my Mini-project I am going to use a very strong quote from my dads friend's dad, this is his life, "when you turn 39, world war ll starts. You aren't even over the hill yet. And don't try to catch your breath. He was a doctor on a navy hospital ship in the pacific, and he was one of the oldest people on the ship, at age 41.
On your 41st b-day, the united states is fully in world war 11 until you are 45.
At 50 Korean war starts.
At 55 The Vietnam war begins, When you are 62 the Cuban missile crisis threatens to end life as we know it.
When you turn 75, the Vietnam war finally ends.
Perspective is Amazing, we are in tough times, but times could be tougher."
