Atlanta Community Redesign Project

During this project, Harrison and I researched and redesigned the Cascade community. Key features include expanded green spaces, improved pedestrian walkways, and community gathering areas to foster stronger social interaction.  Housing and commercial spaces have been updated to reflect modern design while preserving the area's cultural heritage.  Pedestrian and bike-friendly infrastructure has been prioritized, making the area safer and more accessible for people of all ages. The updated layout also features mixed-use spaces that blend housing, local businesses, and cultural centers to support a diverse and thriving community.  Efforts were made to preserve the historical character of Cascade while introducing modern design elements that reflect the community’s evolving identity. Overall, the redesign embodies a forward-thinking approach that strikes a balance between growth, community values, and environmental responsibility.
