Dresden is a beautiful city in the east of Germany. Also it's the capital of the Free State of Saxony. With around 560,000 inhabitants, Dresden is the second largest city in Saxony after Leipzig and the twelfth largest city in Germany in terms of population.
Dresden is considered a city of art and culture, but also an important technology location. A network of research, business and culture has established itself in the city. There are a total of nine universities in the city. The Technical University is one of the largest universities in Germany with 33,506 students. Dresden is famous for its old town with many historic buildings, monuments and museums directly in the city. Visit the Semperoper, the Zwinger, the Hofkirche and not to forget the rebuilt Frauenkirche and much more. You can also enjoy many green spaces that Dresden has to offer.
