From Sound to the Cosmos: How a Cold Outreach From Poland Became an
International Artistic Collaboration With Guitarist Sammy Boller
DETROIT, MI / KOSZALIN, POLAND — October 2026 — What began with an unexpected
outreach from two Polish artists evolved into an international creative collaboration, culminating
in the public unveiling of three works of art inspired by Detroit guitarist and songwriter Sammy
Boller’s instrumental music on October 8, 2026, in Koszalin, Poland.
Following a European clinic tour with Friedman Amplifiers, Boller traveled to Poland to take
part in the reveal, bringing together two creative worlds separated by an ocean but connected
through music.
The story began when Polish artist Zdzisław Nestoruk reached out to Boller, sharing his artistic
vision and a unique approach to translating music into visual form. Working alongside fellow
artist Andrzej Grosicki, Nestoruk developed intricate three-dimensional structural paintings
inspired by Boller’s instrumental compositions. Rather than simply depicting a musician or a
performance, the works sought to interpret the atmosphere, emotion, and sonic landscapes of the
music through texture, depth, and physical form.
Among the works associated with the project are The Mapmaker, Kingdom of the Sun, and
Midnight Garden with additional paintings planned around Boller’s musical catalog, including,
Path of the Heart, and Mi Amor Eterno.
For Boller, known for his expressive instrumental guitar work, the project demonstrates the
ability of music to inspire creative interpretations beyond the recording studio and concert stage.
For Nestoruk and Grosicki, it offered an opportunity to transform the sounds and emotional
character of an American guitarist’s music into a tangible body of visual art.
The journey carried an additional layer of personal significance for Boller. His grandfather,
Samuel Singer, was a Jewish native of Poland and a violinist who survived the Nazi
concentration camps before immigrating to the United States. His story represents a family
history shaped by displacement, survival, and music; making Boller’s own journey to Poland,
generations later, a meaningful point of connection between his musical heritage and an
unexpected artistic partnership in his grandfather’s homeland.
The partnership also highlights the increasingly borderless nature of artistic collaboration, where
digital communication allows artists to discover one another’s work, establish creative
relationships, and develop projects that might never have emerged through traditional industry
channels.
With three works publicly revealed in Poland and plans for further paintings inspired by Boller’s
catalog, the collaboration stands as an example of what can happen when artists reach beyond
their immediate creative circles and pursue an unexpected connection.

The band plans to release an official music video for “Queen Of The Damned” soon with more new music and touring on the horizon.
