Camp training is the practical manifestation of institutional training. The basic aim of Camps is to introduce cadets to a regimented way of life and helps in developing camaraderie, team work, leadership qualities, self-confidence, self-reliance and dignity of labor in the cadets. The cadets are exposed to the excitement of camp life where they apply the theoretical knowledge that they had gained in Institutional Training .
Cadets of DRCNCC actively participate in the camps. In this academic session 4 camps have been held till now:
1)COMBINED ANNUAL TRAINING CAMP:-
CATC is held twice a year. 40 cadets of second and third year combined attended the camp held from June 7,2022 to June 16, 2022.
2)THAL SAINIK CAMP:-
Cadet Manisha has made DRCNCC proud by making it to the final cadre of TSC.
3)EK BHARAT SHRESTHA BHARAT (EBSB IDC, 2022):-
EBSB IDC was held from July 31,2022 to August 16,2022. 5 cadets of DRCNCC successfully completed the camp.
4)INTER-DIRECTORATE SPORTS SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP:-
With her perseverance and patience CPL Sheetal Sajwan of DRCNCC represented Delhi Directorate in IDSSC'22 was held at RUPNAGAR PUNJAB from July 4,2022 to July 15, 2022 .
COMBINED ANNUAL TRAINING CAMP
CATC Stands for Combined Annual Training Camp. This camp is a compulsory camp conducted for all the NCC cadets every year. The duration of this camp is usually 10 to 12 days. This camp’s major goals are to speed up personality development and train Cadets with basic military tactics. Every year 560 cadets experience and learn to live a better and disciplined life joining the camp. Training is imparted on various skills such as drill, weapon handling, small arms firing, health and hygiene and leadership for the Tri-services (Army, Navy, Air Force ). Sports,cultural events and competitions held are cherry on the cake.
From DRC NCC ,40 Cadets attended the CATC Camp held at NCC Bhawan, Rohini from June 7,2022 to June 16, 2022. The experience not only evolved the cadets as human beings but also filled their pockets with some really glittering and gleeful memories .In the camp, the cadets attended various classes such as lectures on leadership qualities, time management, trust management, group management, crisis and emergency management, group discussion and various aspects of personality development were also included in the training .The main emphasis of the camp was to develop qualities of character, comradeship, discipline, secular outlook, spirit of adventure, sportsmanship, ideals of selfless service .Thus leading to all round development of cadet's personality.
The days of CATC Camp were packed from morning to evening. The reporting time to the most magnificent place i.e. NCC BHAWAN ROHINI on the first day was 8:45 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. The wake up time in the camp was around 4:30 a.m. as 6 a.m. was the fall in time for the Cadets. This was followed by drills. Afterwards they received their first meal i.e. breakfast of the day which tasted very good and was healthy. The Cadets later had theory classes till 12 noon which really helped them a lot and allowed them to learn new spectrums of life. They did many adventurous activities in this camp including firing practice (held at Shekhawati Firing range, Delhi Cantt). Cadets also learnt many things in theory and practical classes such as FCBC, Map reading ,also about Armed forces which made classes very interesting and interactive too. DRC NCC performed GUARD OF HONOR before other colleges and schools for which they were appreciated by the PI staff , ANOs and GCI Ma'am. The Cadets also had P.T. classes and personality development class in the evening which further nurtured their personalities. They all were very enthusiastic and full of joy but as soon as they heard about competitions being conducted excitement was another level and BATTLE MODE was turned ON .DRC NCC participated in cultural and sports competition , Solo Singing, Group Singing, Group Dance, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi and Volleyball matches which resulted in lots of sweat, sweetness and applause.
Prizes won in different categories:-
· SUO Swayambika Katiyar - 1st position (solo singing)
· Cadet Palak - 2nd position (solo dance)
· Daulat Ram College - 2nd position (group dance)
· DRC-HRC team - 2nd position (kho-kho)
· DRC-HRC team - 2nd position (volleyball)
· DRC-HRC team - 1st position (Guard competition)
· Sgt Harshita Rathore - 1st position (Extempore competition)
· Cadet Yachika Tyagi - 1st position (Extempore competition)
· CDT Avani Mishra - 2nd position (Extempore competition)
· Daulat Ram College - 4th position (Squad drill)
Finally the inevitable factor, ENDING stood firm before the Cadets leading to film of those 10 Days being played in front of their eyes. It all ended up with CDT Avani and Cadet Navdha's recitation of Ganesh Vandhana and prize distribution ceremony.
Long story short ,these 10 days showed clear path to the Cadets to succeed and become responsible citizens of the country and gave presents of true bonds and colourful memories which shall be cherished by them throughout their lives.
THAL SAINIK CAMP
TSC ( Thal Sainik Camp)is one of the prestigious, centrally organised camps in NCC. It takes place in the month of September where the vacancies include 32 for SW cadets and 08 for JW cadets.
Its major events include :

5. Health And Hygiene
6. Tent pitching
Selection Procedure
The selection procedure of TSC is very tough. One should be prepared mentally and physically. The instructor will train you like a real Army man.
The TSC is a 12 days camp conducted in Delhi every year in late Autumn in which the cadets are selected from all 17 directorates by the selection procedure conducting three Pre TSC camps each of 10-12 days at a week’s interval.
Cdt Manisha’s experience
DRCNCC is overwhelmed to share the experience of our Cadet, Manisha, who attended the most difficult camp ‘TSC' with all her courage and determination . As soon as the organisation informed the Cadets about the camp to be held, she got her name added in the list of interested Cadets and gave a written test, which she passed . Following it , a total of 7 Cadets were selected from our college. The Pre-TSC cadre went simultaneously with Combined Annual Training Camp held at NCC Bhawan, Rohini from June 7,2022 to June 16,2022. Here , separate training lectures were given to provide a strong foundation . In the last few days of the camp 200 plus cadets appeared for the test, selection for obstacle training were also going on. A total of 61 cadets were selected from 1 DGBn and 6 cadets including Cdt Manisha from our college .
In 2nd Pre TSC cadre, all the selected cadets from 1DGBn reported at Cariappa parade ground on June 17 ,2022. Now, she was supposed to compete with Cadets from other Battalions. Written and practical tests were carried out for cadets belonging to different subjects and results were announced. Cdt Manisha passed this test too with 2 fellow cadets from our college and 22 cadets from 1 DGBn.
The 3rd Pre TSC cadre started from July 6 , 2022 and lasted till July 15,2022 at NCC Bhawan , Rohini. In this phase, she went through a tough selection process at GP level . Practice outdoor sessions were conducted for JDFS , MR and firing cadets . On the last 2 days , final selections were made and Cdt Manisha was still present in the race.
· Coming till here, she missed many of her friends , felt lonely but still had the spirit of not losing. Next cadre was from July 26, 2022 and it lasted till September 13, 2022 . Basically , it was a daily commute to the camp where she was supposed to report 2 days a week . This stage was difficult for her as her semester exams were also going on.
Finally on September 1, 2022 she got selected in the final contingent and she trained herself harder every passing day . On September 8, 2022 all the cadets were distributed their kits . On September 14, 2022 she left for DGNCC with lots of hopes , dedication and enthusiasm to win it all.
· This wonderful and emotional journey of selection process transformed her from a shy Cadet to a confident and disciplined Cadet . She made 1DGBn and DRCNCC proud.
EBSB IDC 2022
EBSB stands for “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat”. In NCC (National Cadet Corp) the EBSB camp held annually promotes unity, nationalism, national integration and developing skill among cadets. The EBSB camp is one of the prestigious camps where cadets get to know the essence of India and its culture i.e. "unanimity is diversity”. The main objectives of the camp is to develop leadership skills, enhance knowledge base and public speaking abilities, peer learning through mutual interaction, foster team spirit, improve soft skills and understand culture of their own state and the participating state. The theme of the EBSB camp is “Yuva Shakti Se Aatmanirbhar Bharat Ka Nirman”, which forms the backdrop of all the training, to celebrate the idea of India as a nation wherein different cultural units across varied geographies coalesce and interact with each other and to induce a sense of responsibility & ownership for the nation.
In the year 2022, SUO Swayambika Katiyar , JUO Kuheli Biswas , CQMS Monika, Cadet Neha Yadav and Cadet Palak Saini successfully completed the EBSB camp.The selection procedure was open and it took place while the cadets were attending their CATC camp at ROHINI NCC BHAWAN . Later on after the camp they had their cadre in KIRTI NAGAR GROUP B HEADQUARTERS lasting 11 days. The selected cadets practiced for 3 months continuously and finally began their EBSB camp from July 31, 2022 which continued till August 16, 2022 at DG NCC, Cariappa Parade Ground.

· JUO Kuheli Biswas - Country Presentation ( Presentation was highly appreciated by everyone, including CO Sir, and has been distributed to almost 14 directorates and countries.)
· CQMS Monika - Red Fort ( Got an opportunity to interact with PM Narendra Modi while Flag hoisting at Red Fort on August 15, 2022)

· Cadet Palak Saini - Cultural (Dancing)
It was indeed a magnificent experience for each one of them where they learnt how to lead and got exposed to the opportunity to meet new cadets from all over India and with their utmost hard work and practice, they made this camp a successful one. It became even more important since this time our country ,India is celebrating 75th anniversary of Independence (Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav).
INTER-DIRECTORATE SPORTS SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP
Inter-directorate Sports Shooting Championship
IDSSC (Inter-directorate Sport Shooting Championship) is an All India level Sports Shooting competition that includes various categories for Shooting and Stages of competition that allows the cadets to explore themselves outside their comfort-zone and challenge themselves.
Selection Procedure
Selection for IDSSC ’2022 was started from Unit level at RAJPUTANA RIFLES RANGE. From each DGBn and DBn selected Cadets gave their selections.
Cadets were given total five unfired bullets to shoot once on the basis of grouping . Around 30 Cadets were selected out of 300 to 400 Cadets. After that all selected Cadets used to do (dry) practice at 2DBn unit. They used to go to the Rajputana Rifles Range for firing every Saturday and Sunday. Records were maintained there for each and every Cadet's performance and on that basis the final IDSSC team was selected to represent Delhi Directorate.
Final Selections were held at KARNI SINGH RANGE .
CPL SHEETAL SAJWAN’s EXPERIENCE
DRCNCC is very proud to share the experience of our CPL Sheetal Sajwan who got selected for the camp because of her hard work, determination and enthusiasm.
IDSSC'22 was held at RUPNAGAR PUNJAB from July 4,2022 to July 15, 2022 where she got a chance to represent Delhi Directorate.
She participated in (50m - OPEN SIGHT PRONE) event alongside Cadets from all 17 Directorates. The practice session and selection process went on for two months at Rajputana Rifles Range, Soul Shot Shooting Club at Karni Singh Range.
This camp gave her the confidence to face the pressure and develop her competitive skills. It also developed her shooting skills. This camp was a great opportunity for her and also for DRCNCC to grow and learn from.
This camp was a fantastic opportunity for every Cadet to enhance their shooting skills on a global scale with the full support of NCC. Also, it was a great chance to interact with the Cadets of other 16 Directorates. The experience filled CPL Sheetal's luggage with all colourful memories and true bonds shared with the Cadets of other Directorates.
