RHMS In-Person Learning Spring 2021

Heath & Safety

The health and safety of our students, staff, and families is our number one priority! Please adhere to the following procedures:

  • Complete the daily screener online (bus attestation form no longer required)

  • Carpool students should stay in car until screening is completed by staff member

  • Masks are required at all times unless eating breakfast or lunch (no talking while unmasked)

  • Remember the 3 Ws: Wear a mask, Wash your hands, Wait six feet

Schedules

DPS middle schools and high schools will re-open with students in three cohorts (Cohorts A, B, & C), attending school for 2 days, then working remotely for 6 school days and rotating while the other cohorts are in person.

  • Cohort B – 7th Grade Begins: April 8 & 9

  • Cohort C – 8th Grade Begins: April 12 & 13

  • Cohort A – 6th Grade Begins: April 15 & 16

The full cohort calendar for the remainder of the school year is linked here: DPS Cohort Calendar.

In-person students will need to arrive to school between 7:00am and 7:30am to be screened, eat breakfast, and be ready for Discovery to begin promptly at 8:00am

Both in-person and virtual students will follow our Quarter 4 Bell Schedule linked here beginning April 8th.

Bus Riders

Students must remain on the bus and seated until a Rogers-Herr teacher or administrator boards the bus. They will tell bus riders when to stand and exit the bus.

After screening, bus riders will report directly to the cafeteria for a Grab and Go breakfast and report immediately to your core 1 class. Route updates for secondary school students that have chosen the onsite learning option will be ready for distribution by April 6, 2021. Student bus information can be retrieved by going to this link Bus Stop Information Service.

Car Riders

Carpool students may arrive anytime between 7:00am and 7:30am. To help speed the carpool process along, please complete the daily electronic symptoms screener to receive a green check on your phone before arriving to school. Please note, carpool students may not be dropped off. All students must remain in vehicles until a staff member comes to the vehicle to complete the daily screener process which includes taking the temperature of all students.

Once cleared by the staff member then the student will be given permission to exit the vehicle and enter the building. Please note, parents and visitors will not be allowed to enter the building. However, you may call to schedule an appointment anytime.

Carpool students wanting breakfast will Grab and Go from a cart/table located in the main lobby. All carpool students will report directly to their core 1 class.
