We always think of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Patrick Henry and John Hancock when American Independence is talked about, but we fail to think about Adam's effective PERSUASIVE ARGUMENTS and his commitment to the resolution (that we ought to have freedom and independence from England).

Read Benjamin Franklin: Literature from the Colonial Period
Benjamin Franklin, Philadelphia's favorite son, wrote an autobiography. Here are excerpts from that, and additionally, an excerpt from a self-help book written in 1986 about improving yourself by Robert Fulghum, and then, back to Franklin: his APHORISMS, which appeared in Poor Richard's Almanac in the mid 1800's
