ACAP- Accounting Career Awareness Program - Deadline April 30th
For rising sophomore, junior and senior students. Scholarships will be given out to select students.
Students will learn from business professionals about professional development, accounting, finance and financial literacy. Students will have the opportunity to talk to admission counselors from Charlotte about college and what to look for when applying for school. Camp Carefree, Stokesdale, NC
A summer camp for kids who have or are within families who have chronic illnesses and provide them with free, week-long overnight camps. After two years on pause due to COVID, Camp Carefree is back this summer! We are looking for volunteers to help our program be a success. We hold six weeks of Camp, each focused on a special group of kids - all who attend Carefree completely for free. Volunteer CITs (16-18 years old) and Counselors (18+) can work any full week(s), or all 6 weeks! We also need volunteers for our Alumni Weekend in August.

Summer Intensive at Emily K Center

Summer program for outgoing high school seniors in Durham (Class of 2022). Participants will receive text reminders throughout the summer to ensure they get all the necessary steps completed for successful enrollment. Game Plan: College staff from the Emily K. Center will provide assistance to students via text, virtually, or in-person appointments. College of Charleston - Pre-College Summer Program
The STEM 360 Pre-College Summer Program (Links to an external site.) of the School of Sciences and Mathematics takes high school students on a journey through several instructional and hands on training activities on a variety of topics which may include biology, marine biology, chemistry, environmental geosciences, engineering, computer programming, and others.

Kids Voting Durham is offering youth age 14-24 virtual & hybrid Civic Leadership service learning opportunities this summer. The Scrap Exchange
The Scrap Exchange is a nonprofit organization with a mission to promote creativity, environmental awareness, and community through reuse. The Teen Board will offer high schoolers an opportunity to become involved with leadership, community service, and a group of mentors to learn from. IMPACT Camp (4 weeks-rising 9th-12th graders)
IMPACT Camp is a week-long local/urban mission-type experience. Students visit a different nonprofit each day, learn about the needs that nonprofit addresses in the community and then work with student teams on a variety service projects. Activities include leadership training and reflective activities.

Students learn how Model UN can be used as a vehicle for learning about the world around us, civic engagement, and personal growth.
