Celebrated on August 26th each year, Dog Day was founded in 2004 by Pet & Family Lifestyle Expert, Animal Rescue Advocate, Conservationist, Dog Trainer and Author, Colleen Paige. Colleen also founded other days such as, National Puppy Day, National Mutt Day, National Cat Day, National Wildlife Day, to help bring attention to animal needs around the world and to encourage adoption.
