Club Description: The purpose of the Black Student Union is to provide a communal safe space on campus for African American students, faculty and staff. This organization is not to exclude members of other races and ethnicities as all are welcome. This organization is, however, focused on encouraging and supporting African American students as they navigate in and around campus. Our club provides opportunities for cultural, social and educational enrichment!

We usually are watching an anime each meeting and some students have a video game tournament in the back of the room. Club Description: The purpose of this book club at Jordan is to create a space for book lovers to make friends and bond over what they are reading! We encourage students who have a hard time being a consistent reader to read more for fun and achieve their individually-set goals. Our club environment allows students to hear directly from their peers about book recommendations, diverse genres, goal settings, and reading/learning habits. We will push our members to expand their minds to authors, genres, concepts, and reading techniques that they may not have explored overwise. Can't wait to see you at Book Club!

This is our first year offering this club to JHS, but we hope that you'll still come check it out.

SASH (Students Against Sexual Harassment)
Club Name: SASH (students against sexual harrassment)

Club Description: Our SASH Club will bring together students in our school to educate themselves and others about sexual harassment and assault, support survivors, and make real change. It will be a place where students can ask questions, share opinions, support one another, and make friends -- all while working together to end sexual harassment and assault in our community. SASH Club is open to any Jordan High School student.
Meeting Time and Place: Meetings: We hope to meet twice a month, time and place to be decided. Meetings may include one or more of these activities: a presentation, discussion, guest speaker, planning session, or other related activities. We plan to download and share materials
Membership Requirements: Any Jordan High School student can be a member. All club members will be expected to listen openly, participate in good faith, and show patience and kindness to one another. We will promote respectful discussion and encourage questions from all points of view.

Club Description: SGA strives to be inclusive and represent all facets of Jordan's diverse student population. SGA generates Falcon Spirit among students and staff at Jordan High School. SGA organizes and communicates about a variety of events and activities happening in our school community, such as student-led, campus beautification service projects, support athletic teams, and plan for school dances and spirit weeks.

Membership Requirements: SGA is for everyone!! Any student is welcome to attend and participate in the SGA meetings. There are 3 elected class representatives per grade and 3 student body positions that are elected by the entire school. The elected officers have voting privileges
