Hello! I’m Taylor Elaine Holthouse, born and raised in the United States. I lived in Mexico and taught English at a bilingual school for 2 years after I graduated college with a double major in Linguistics and Spanish. Since my return in 2016, I have worked as a Spanish teacher for grades K-8.  

This is my first year as a Dual Language Immersion Specialist, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with a strong community of educators to create an enriching bilingual environment for your children at the secondary level. 

On a personal note, I have a 2-year-old daughter and we enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, and traveling together. I   go on hikes in my free time.

As a parent, it is important to me that my child is happy, healthy and learning new things. Together we will create a culture that celebrates diversity and a love of learning in two languages. 

¡Hola! Soy Taylor Elaine Holthouse, nací y crecí en los Estados Unidos. Viví en México y enseñé inglés en un colegio bilingüe por 2 años después de graduarme de la universidad con una licenciatura de doble especializacion en Ligüística y Español. Desde mi regreso en 2016, he sido maestra de español para primaria y secundaria. 

Este es mi primer año como Especialista en Inmersión en Dos Idiomas, y estoy muy emocionada de tener la oportunidad de colaborar con una fuerte comunidad de educadores para crear un ambiente bilingue enriquecedor para sus hijos al nivel secundario. 

En lo personal, tengo una hija pequeña de 2 años y nos gusta leer, pasar tiempo con familia y amigos, y viajar juntas. En mi tiempo libre, practico senderismo. 

Como madre, para mí es importante que mi hija esté feliz, sana y aprendiendo cosas nuevas. Juntos crearemos una cultura que celebre la diversidad y el amor por aprender en dos idiomas.

I am Mrs. Spence-Osorio, and I have been an ELA/ESL teacher for 6th grade at Brogden for the last three years and a teacher for seven. My class will focus on improving students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in English while we learn about refugees from around the world. Soy la Sra. Spence-Osorio y he sido maestra de ELA/ESL para sexto grado en Brogden durante los últimos tres años y docente desde hace siete. Mi clase se enfocará en mejorar las habilidades de lectura, escritura, expresión oral y comprensión auditiva en inglés, mientras aprendemos sobre refugiados de diferentes partes del mundo.
