My name is Kate Werder, and I have been on the Behavior Team since 2015. I was originally born in New York but grew up in Narberth, PA, a little town outside Philadelphia. Before working as a behavior coach, I worked as a one-on-one in an Autism classroom, and it was there that I found a passion for helping students gain the skills they need to lead independent and meaningful lives. Currently, I live in Denver with my husband and two cats. In my free time I enjoy snowboarding, hiking, reading, cooking, making art, and seeing live music. My undergrad is in psychology, and I am certified in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in School Psychology at the University of Colorado.
Hello, my name is ShaLonda Woods. I'm married with two awesome boys by the names of Iman and Savaughn. This is my 9th year working for Denver Public Schools, and as an alumni, I feel honored to be able to serve in the community I grew up in. I graduated from Langston University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. I learned I had a passion for working with children at the early age of 13 when a youth counselor at my church pointed out how much the children would look up to me and how I had the ability to make a difference in their lives. I believe in excellence and have dedicated my talents and creative abilities to assure the successful accomplishment of students.
