Hi there!

I’m so excited to be part of this school year! I’m the oldest of two sisters, and family means the world to me. I share my home with my two sweet dogs, who keep life fun and full of tail wags. I love tacos (any day can be Taco Day!) and enjoy hiking, especially when I can take in the beauty of nature. When I’m not outside, you can usually find me curled up with a good book. I can’t wait to get to know each of you and start this adventure together! 

Teaching is truly my passion, and I feel so lucky to inspire and learn from my students every day. I’ve been with Denver Public Schools for 4 years, and each year reminds me why I love this work so much. I can’t wait to get to know each of you and start this adventure together!

Hello! I’m Ms. Rey (Rachel Rey-Pederson), and I’m thrilled to be starting my 7th year of teaching, and my 3rd year here at Trevista. My educational journey began at North Park University in Chicago, where I earned my undergraduate degree, and continued at CU, where I completed my master’s in Curriculum and Instruction. Currently, I’m also pursuing a certificate in coaching at CU, which I believe will further enhance my ability to support and inspire our students.

Teaching is my passion because I truly enjoy connecting with students and witnessing their growth. I firmly believe that education has the power to change the world, and that reading, in particular, opens up endless possibilities. My goal is to instill a love of learning in every student I encounter.

I also value the partnership with parents in the educational journey of their children. Together, we can work to raise amazing, well-rounded individuals. Here’s to a fantastic year of learning and growth!
