The DPS Seal of Biliteracy promotes and rewards students who achieve biliteracy, (reading, writing, speaking and listening) in English and ANY other language at the high school level. To encourage students to maintain their home language or begin language learning early, they give a PATHWAYS AWARD at the 3rd and 5th grades. Students who show an intermediate level ability and committment in a second language are elegible to earn this award.
