Q: I know I failed at least one semester of a course. Should I request that course again?
A: No. Request the next course and work incredibly hard to pass this semester. Also request Credit Recovery (Study Hall Tchr Support)
Q: Are all prerequisites required?
A: Yes, unless you have permission from the instructor or you have auditioned into an advanced music class.
Q: Can a student request an off period (unstructured time)?
A: Yes and no. While you can not specifically request an off period (unstructured time) on your form, your counselor can assign you one if you are on track to graduate and a senior. Only seniors are eligible for off periods and the counselor will share the application process later in the spring.
Q: Can I request to be a student assistant?
A: Student assistants are reserved for seniors and can be arranged with your counselor.
Q: Are the classes on the course forms the only classes we are offering for next year?
A: At this time, yes, other classes cannot be requested. If you are passionate about a course we are not offering, talk with your teachers and join student leadership so we can offer the course in future years.
Q: How do I know which College Math or English course I am taking?
A: You will find out after you take the Accuplacer this spring.
