New Families:

The Polaris staff and I are thrilled to welcome you to our school community!  We are excited to get to know you and your child and begin the school-home partnership. Polaris is an incredible school full of creative and curious students, dedicated and passionate staff members, and a vibrant and engaged parent/guardian community.  We believe that all of our unique interests, talents, and backgrounds make our school a stronger space and work to ensure that all members of our community feel included and supported. 

In the coming weeks there will be two main ways in which we communicate and share information:

1. Email (primarily sent from adrienne_lopez@dpsk12.net, ann_warner@dpsk12.net or Membership Toolkit)

2. Info posted to the Polaris New Family Welcome Site

Our amazing PTO has several ways they will engage you throughout the next few months.  These are all opportunities for our new families to begin to build community.

1.   Each new family will be paired with a New Family Ambassador.  This is a current parent who will help to further introduce and welcome you to the Polaris Community.

2. New Family Play Date followed by PTO End of Year Community Celebration.  June 2nd, 2024

   1. 11:00-11:30: All new families are welcome to meet at the playground at the Stanley.  Take this time to meet other new families and build connections!

   2. 11:30-2:30:  Polaris PTO community event at Cheluna Brewery - meet current families for an end of year culminating celebration.

3. Follow Us on Social Media and Join a Grade-Level Facebook Group!

   1. Would you like to connect to other Polaris families?  Hop on Facebook and join one of our groups for parents and caregivers of Polaris students.  Make sure to answer the membership questions to gain entrance quickly
