IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Current News
5/27/24:
There are still 6 more days of school.
On Friday, the school does not provide snack so students can bring their own.
I am looking for a few volunteers to help run projects at our End of Year Party. Please message me if you are interested.
Please make sure backpacks are coming to school each day as things will slowly start to come home. Empty them out each day when they get home or it will become very heavy for them to carry.
4/29/24:
Warmer weather is here and it's Colorado! Please make sure your child has a water bottle at school. They take them home on Friday's to be cleaned and sometimes forget to bring them back.
The last month of school is here but we should continue to monitor attendance. What students are learning this month they will need for 3rd grade. Please try to send your child to school every day, including the last week of school. We have fun things planned!
Events are updated on the Schedule tab.
What students are learning us updated on the Newsletter tab.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: It takes 3 days of school to make up for 1 day missed.
The best way to get hold of me during the day is using Class Dojo messaging. This is how I will send out classroom and personal information to families. Click on this link to connect.
Please fill out this form for end of day dismissal.
I will use this information as of day 1 to ensure the safety of our class.
Dismissal for 2nd grade is on the playground at the doors closest to Florida.
Breakfast is in the cafeteria this year. Kids will walk to class after breakfast. The late bell rings at 8am.
For birthdays, please contact me at least a couple days before so I can adjust our schedule to help make your child’s birthday special.
Uniform shirts are OPTIONAL this year. Please read the Student/Parent handbook to review the dress-code.
About me
My name is Mrs. El Kabbaj. I am beginning my 13th year as a teacher. I have taught 2nd-5th grade. I went to Metro State College of Denver. I am currently working on my master's in Reading Instruction with Grand Canyon University.
I have a blended culture family. My husband is from Morocco and we have 2 children who also attend Godsman. We enjoy traveling each summer to see family abroad. I love to play Minecraft and watch LaLiga Soccer.
What I am excited about this year is getting to know all of my new students and their families. I can't wait to go on field trips and experience learning different things together!
