Header tags, also called <h> tags, are used to write titles on a website. There are 6 different header tags in HTML; h1 creates the biggest font size and h6 creates the smallest font size.

As a header tag’s number increases, its size decreases and so does its importance on the page. This order of importance is also known as a hierarchy.
