Three Goals You Would Like to Accomplish: 1. Strengthen Chapter Engagement Across the State. I would like to work with the officer team to increase active participation by encouraging chapters to attend conferences that aren’t already, compete in events, and take part in state programs. This would be focused on smaller and less-active chapters, and would help jumpstart their involvement and journey to become active chapters in Wisconsin FBLA. This is important because FBLA’s success depends on engaged members. By supporting chapters that may be a little disconnected, the officer team would be strengthening FBLA statewide. 2. Expand Leadership Development Opportunities for Members. I would like to work with the officer team to create and spread more leadership development opportunities for FBLA members. FBLA centers around members becoming leaders and developing their leadership skills. This can be done through the use of workshops, officer-led sessions, and mentorship opportunities at conferences and events. These programs will allow FBLA members to go and learn about several topics, all centering around leadership and business. This is important because it will carry out FBLA’s mission and goal. It will spread business knowledge and create strong leaders for the future. Students will be able to gain essential skills that they can apply in school, careers, and future leadership and business roles. This will further Wisconsin FBLA’s impact and make events like RLC much more valuable and places to gain knowledge and skills. 3. Promote Service and Statewide Initiatives. I would like to work with the officer team to increase awareness and participation in state service projects by promoting them through conferences and chapter communication. These projects are great ways for members to get involved in FBLA while also having a very positive impact on the community. This is important because service builds character and community impact, which reinforces FBLA’s values and connects members to FBLA through working for meaningful causes.
How Can the High School Division Offer a Differentiated Experience: The high school division can offer a differentiated experience by providing more opportunities for real life experience. This can include workshops with real business professionals, separate nonprofit organizations, and even just more interactive events and activities at conferences. This will help students get valuable hands-on experience working with business professionals, networking, and setting themselves up for success in the future. They will be able to communicate with businesses and leaders, which can even help jumpstart their careers and start building up their professional network.
How Can the High School Division Expand Membership Outreach: The high school division can expand membership outreach by reaching out to chapters and schools around the state that are not active, or are very little active. We can tell them about new opportunities that FBLA offers, and how these can help students a lot, giving them exposure to business fields. We can go do small presentations to such schools and chapters, telling them about what FBLA leads to and some examples of people who are now successful because of FBLA. We should reach out to advisers and administrators, but also talk to the students. If we can intrigue students into wanting to join FBLA, the high school division’s membership outreach will automatically go up.
How Can We Improve Capacity and Capabilities to Lead as a CTSO: We can improve capacity and capabilities to lead as a CTSO by strengthening leadership development at all levels, improving communication systems, and supporting chapter sustainability and growth. These things will increase our capacity to organize bigger and more influential events and conferences, and will also increase the amount of chapters involved in FBLA. We can also invest in adviser and student collaboration, enhance conference and event quality, and empower student voice. Giving students more opportunities to voice their opinions, collaborate with advisers to organize events, and to improve the experience that conferences offer will immensely increase the capabilities of FBLA to lead as a CTSO, as it will be able to provide students real event planning and leadership experience, which is what a CTSO is all about.
Three Goals You Would Like to Accomplish: If I am successful in my bid for state office, I would like the officer team to focus on increasing member engagement, strengthening career readiness, and improving FBLA’s visibility. Keeping members engaged is important because it helps students feel connected and motivated to stay involved. Expanding career and leadership development opportunities matters because FBLA prepares members with real-world skills them will use in the future. Increasing outreach and visibility is also important because it helps grow chapters, attract new members, and show the positive impact FBLA has within school and communities.
How Can the High School Division Offer a Differentiated Experience: The FBLA High School Division offers a differentiated experience by making programs that meet members at different skill levels, interests, and career goals. By giving members a variety of competitive events and leadership opportunities, members can choose paths that best align with their strengths and goals.
How Can the High School Division Expand Membership Outreach: To boost membership for FBLA in high schools, chapters can use social media to share stories and experiences from current members. Getting involved with local businesses and community service projects can also draw in students who want to make a difference while learning valuable skills. Plus, hosting fun events like competitions and networking opportunities can help show potential members just how rewarding being part of FBLA can be.
How Can We Improve Capacity and Capabilities to Lead as a CTSO: To enhance our leadership as a CTSO, we can prioritize workshops and mentorship programs that make members want to grow. Collaborating with local businesses and inviting industry professionals will provide real-world experiences that would be valuable. Giving instruction and feedback will also help our members continuously improve their skills while engaging in community projects.
