Private William Anthony Bernard Kelly

In February 2018, the Year 10 Elective History class at Magdalene Catholic High School was given an old chocolate box containing artefacts from World War One. These included women's medals, postcards, tintype photographs, uniform badges and two very precious original medals belonging to Private William Anthony Bernard Kelly.

We were given the task of researching each item in the box, then researching the digger that they once belonged to.

It has been amazing to be able to work with these precious artefacts.

To be able to find the ancestors of William Kelly and return the artefacts to their rightful place has been an honour.
