Frequently Asked Questions

How can I contact my child's teacher?

  • Use your child's online learning platform or;

  • click on the Feedback tab on our Home Learning Hub site, or;

  • contact the school office.


What do I do if I can't log in?

Go back and check emails, usernames and passwords carefully. If you’re still having difficulties, please use the Feedback tab on our Home Learning Hub, or contact the school office.

What do I do if there is no internet?

There are many apps that do not require internet connectivity once downloaded. Please also use the Feedback tab or contact the school office to let the school know that you're having difficulty.

Where is the chocolate?

Hopefully you managed to stockpile some of this along with toilet paper. Failing this, pop over to the Parent Support tab on our Home Learning Hub site, where you will find a link to Kidspot Kitchen and whip up a delicious treat.

If my child completes all of their expected work, what do they do?

If your child has completed the assigned work, review the work with your child to ensure they are giving of their best. Once satisfied, you could pop on over to the Useful Links or Useful Apps tab on our Home Learning Hub.

Alternatively, encourage your child to get some fresh air in your yard, kick a ball, play a board game, etc



What if my child won't complete their work?

  • Remind your child of our four school rules, that they need to be respectful of their learning, others, themselves and property;

  • remind your child of the student expectations found on the Expectations tab.

  • contact your child's classroom teacher;

  • if this is a major concern, it can be referred to the school's Leadership Team for support.

Who marks the work?

At the moment, we are anticipating a short term step into Remote Learning and tasks are designed to be simple for students without review. If the NSW Government extend these requirements then we will revert to our previous expectations:

As part of our Remote Learning Expectations, teachers are committed to reviewing work under the "teacher identified tasks", providing feedback where necessary.

Do I have to follow the lesson exactly?

Teachers have provided weekly outlines to support you and your child/ren during this time. If you feel you need to adjust the lessons to suit your child/ren, please feel free to do so. This may look like adjusting questions, providing prompts, reducing or extending workload.

What are the expectations around teachers responding to questions?

As part of our Remote Learning Expectations, teachers are committed to responding to inquiries within 24 hours within the hours of 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

What happens if my child doesn't upload their work?

As part of our Remote Learning Expectations, we are committed to monitoring your child’s participation in remote learning. If there is a pattern of non engagement, we may contact you to check in.


Where does my child register for the day?

On our Home Learning Hub site, select Classes then your child’s grade and have them respond on the class form each day. This is also linked to your child’s weekly schedule.

What do I do if my child is unwell?

As per normal schools guidelines, if your child is unwell and unable to engage in normal school learning, please submit an attendance form on Compass or contact the school office.


Does my child have to complete everything?

We encourage your child to complete the daily tasks to the best of their ability. We are also understanding of the reality that some days may be challenging and therefore you may need to make adjustments according to your child's needs.

Can I adjust the home learning schedule times?

Teachers have provided weekly outlines to support you and your child/ren during this time. This is for you to use as a guide. We understand that each family has differing needs at this time. Please adjust timings to suit your circumstances.

How much do I assist my child?

Teachers will generally indicate if the work is expected to be independent or otherwise. Of course, depending on the age of your child/ren, they may require additional support here and there. If you are unsure, please feel free to send us a question through our Feedback tab on the Home Learning Hub site.
