We have now wrapped up the final week, Week 8 (closed 3 Sep) Category – 'Creativity' of the St John's Photography Competition – Hit me with your best shot.

The category 'Creativity' was out-of-the-box thinking (anything goes) has helped create some amazing creative photography. There were no rules or guidelines for this category, the challenge was to experiment and intentionally capture a moment or object by doing something different.

Thank you to everyone who sent in their photos, everyone submitted some really incredible and funny entries — and the use of forced perspective photography was fantastic!

It was challenging narrowing down the top two from each Stage, but now it’s time to announce the winners, each of whom will receive a voucher from Big W early next week via email.

Every year on 19th August, World Photography Day (also known as World Photo Day) celebrates the art, craft, science, and history of photography. The day also encourages photographers from around the globe to share a single photo that encapsulates their world. #WorldPhotographyDay

Portraiture (faces) is a powerful medium, the best portraits are touched by nuance, mixtures of feelings and emotions, subtle signals of communication, and connections that can be felt indirectly from the subject via the camera and photographer through to us, the viewers.
