'The Angel's Joyful Announcement'

My artwork is inspired by the reading Luke 2:9-14 The Birth of Jesus and the Visit of the Shepherds. The words in the reading made me think about how Christ was born so that we could live.

I made my artwork using different types of paper and recycled fabric. Black was used to create the silhouettes of the shepherds, Bethlehem and the manger. Sparkly gold was used for the mountains, stars and angel. And dark blue was used for the night sky when Christ was born.

My personal connection to my Christmas Story artwork is my love for the angel of the Lord, because she brings the good news of Christ the King to all the people.
