The 40-Day Walk Together begins the week of May 10th. Walk with us!
5/10/26
“Jesus beckons to each of us, ‘Come, follow me’ and ‘walk with me.’ I testify that as we press forward in faith and walk in the meekness of the Lord’s Spirit, we are blessed with power, guidance, protection and peace.”
~ David A. Bednar, “Abide in Me, and I in You; Therefore Walk With Me,” April 2023 General Conference

Whether our path is mentally, physically, spiritually, or intellectually difficult, we have the comfort and guidance of our Savior Jesus Christ. We’ve all walked along a difficult path in our lives, it’s inevitable, but whatever that path may be the Savior is there for you.
I invite you to ponder on these questions, ‘Will the savior walk with me? The answer is always yes. But the real question is will you walk with him?’
We must use our faith, choose the Savior, and walk with Him. He will lighten your load and walk with you for all eternity.
If you continue on that path with the Savior by your side, you will be eternally grateful for what will come of it. "We acknowledge that your path will at times be difficult. But I give you this promise in the name of the Lord: rise up and follow in the footsteps of our Redeemer and Savior, and one day you will look back and be filled with eternal gratitude that you chose to trust the Atonement and its power to lift you up and give you strength." (Dieter F. Uchtdorf, “You Can Do It Now!”, October 2013 General Conference)

A key word in the camp scripture that stands out to me is WALK. The scripture doesn’t use more commonly used words like follow or keep, it says walk. Walk is a great descriptor because we have to take that next step on the covenant path. Heavenly Father has laid out the perfect plan and our job is to take action. We can often see commandments as restrictions or limits. But as we look closer, commandments are set for our good and help us become better disciples of Jesus Christ.
When I first read this scripture, my mind went to the ten commandments, which we have been recently talking about in Come, Follow Me. The ten commandments are good base values and things to strive for. Though there are other commandments and covenants we make, it is in the plain and simple truths that I have related to the most. The first and great commandment is to love God. I know that as we walk after His commandments, we are showing our love for Him. I know that Jesus Christ will always be there to help and guide us.

Walking with each other means that even though we are all on a personal journey through life, we don't need to go through it alone. We all have the same end destination and want to see everyone succeed. I think it is important to remember that in addition to our Savior, there are people around us—including friends, family, teachers, and church leaders—who love us and are there to support and guide us. It is so much better and the rewards are greater when we succeed as a group than when we do so alone.
In April 2026 General Conference, Elder Taniela B. Wakolo said, “I invite you to make a commitment and choose to come unto Christ—together. Eternity shall be your reward.” In his talk, I really like how he emphasized that we don't have to travel through life's trials alone. Remembering this gives me so much peace and hope during any struggles that I face. It's also a reminder that when our goal is to grow closer to our Savior, Jesus Christ, we can always find somebody to bring with us.

There are two ways to look at walking with Jesus: when we are walking with Jesus and when Jesus is walking with us.
Christ will always be walking with us. He is always there for us. I think that it's hard for Him to help us if we aren't walking with Him and turning to Him. We have to be right there, next to Him, so that we can ask Him to help us.
We have to actively be looking to turn to Him as we continue on our covenant paths. When we know that He is there, at our side, we won't be afraid to ask for help. I testify that as you walk with Jesus and turn to Him with your trials, you will feel His love and receive His blessings.

Join the 40-Day Walk Together! Each day, take a small step to know the Savior more and to make connections with others. Beginning on May 10th, we will post the daily prompts for the week on the Stake YW Camp website and the Dover Stake YW Instagram account.
As you practice walking with Jesus and with others, you will be changed! You will feel His strength in your struggles, His light in your questions, and His love in your efforts to follow Him. As you lift and encourage others, your testimony will grow, your friendships will deepen, and your confidence as a daughter of God will increase. You will walk with greater faith, knowing you are never alone and that the covenant path with Jesus Christ leads you home.

We are excited to announce that the Stake YW Camp theme is: WALK TOGETHER.
We walk with Jesus Christ as our guide and strength. Then-President Dieter F. Uchtdorf promised, “We acknowledge that your path will at times be difficult. But I give you this promise in the name of the Lord: rise up and follow in the footsteps of our Redeemer and Savior, and one day you will look back and be filled with eternal gratitude that you chose to trust the Atonement and its power to lift you up and give you strength.” (Dieter F. Uchtdorf, “You Can Do It Now!”, October 2013 General Conference)
We also walk with each other as disciples in the gospel and help one another stay on the covenant path. "And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it." (2 John 1:6) The camp song, Hymn #1004 I Will Walk with Jesus, encourages us to walk with Him on the covenant path and help walk each other back to our heavenly home.
