World History and Cultures: This course provides a thematic study of the history and cultures of Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas through the disciplines of social studies (history, economics, geography, sociology, etc.)
History of Food: This course explores cultural heritage through food, examining how culinary traditions shape and reflect identities, histories, and social dynamics across diverse communities.

Welcome! My name is John De Ritter, and I am a member of the Social Studies Department at Dover High School. Please let me know if you have any questions or if there is anything I can do to ensure your child's success.
I graduated from William Paterson University and received my B.S. in History and Secondary Education. As a proponent for life-long learning, I continued my education and graduated from Nova Southeastern University, where I earned my M.S. in Secondary Education with a specialization in Social Studies. I hope to instill the same passion and love for learning in my students!
