My name is Jean Perez, and I was born in the Dominican Republic. I came to the United States when I was 17 years old and completed high school in Newark, New Jersey.

After graduating from high school, I attended Kean University, where I earned a degree in Industrial Technology with a concentration in Electronics. I continued my education at Saint Peter’s University, where I earned a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision.

Throughout my professional career, I have been dedicated to education and leadership. I worked as an administrator in Newark from 2006 through 2018. In 2010, I also ran for City Council in Newark, demonstrating my commitment to public service and my community.

My educational background, professional experience, and commitment to community service have shaped my journey and continue to inspire my work today.
