Ways to help at home:

• Read to your child every night

• Encourage your child to speak in complete sentences

• Practice letter identification and letter sounds

• Count everyday objects

• Provide opportunities for your child to draw and write

Homework

Please check you child’s folder daily to see if there is homework for the night.

• Homework will typically consist of either a phonics, sight word, or math page.

• Homework reinforces concepts taught in class

• Homework should take no more than 15 minutes

• If a student is absent they have the same amount of days to make up the missing work

• Homework will be part of their work habits grade

• If you have any questions about your child’s homework feel free to write a note on the homework page or class dojo the teacher

• Read! Read! Read EVERY NIGHT!
