Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry
This course provides individualized mathematics instruction in Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II based on students’ individual needs and IEP goals. In addition to developing academic math skills, students apply mathematical concepts to real-life situations while building important life skills, social skills, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and independence.
English I, English II, English III, English IV
This course provides individualized instruction in English I, II, III, and IV based on students’ individual needs and IEP goals. Instruction focuses on developing reading, writing, communication, vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension skills. Students also apply language arts skills to real-life situations while building important life skills, social skills, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and independence.
Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science
This course provides individualized instruction in Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Science based on students’ individual needs and IEP goals. Instruction focuses on developing an understanding of scientific concepts through hands-on activities, exploration, and real-life applications. Students also build important life skills, social skills, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and independence.
Transition Skills
High School Transitional Skills is a comprehensive course designed to empower students with the essential knowledge and skills required for a successful transition from high school to adulthood. This course is particularly tailored for students with diverse needs and abilities and encompasses five key units: Self Awareness and Advocacy, Community Awareness, Independent Living, Career Vocational and Employment Readiness, and Post Secondary Planning.
Life skills II
Life Skills II is the second course in the Life Skills sequence, continuing to build upon the foundational knowledge and practical skills introduced in Life Skills I. This high school-level course further empowers students to enhance their life skills, preparing them for a successful transition into adulthood. The course maintains its focus on the same five units, providing more advanced and in-depth exploration of each.
Transition Skills and Personal Finance
High School Transitional Skills with Personal Financial Literacy is a comprehensive course designed to empower students with the essential knowledge and skills required for a successful transition from high school to adulthood. Tailored for students with diverse needs and abilities, this course encompasses ten key units that address both transitional skills and personal financial literacy, ensuring students are well-prepared for life beyond high school.
