Homestead Exemption Applications
Homestead exemption is a State law that lowers your annual Parish property taxes for a single primary residence in Louisiana (ie the home you live in). You must apply for homestead exemption and then it is determined if you are eligible. Once granted, it is in effect permanently, as long as you own and reside at that location. Each Parish allows you to apply in person to the Assessor's Office. However, some offer more ways to submit Homestead applications. Find out below.
